Sam graduated as a Physiotherapist from the University of the West of England, UK in 2009. Since then she has had extensive experience working in a large teaching hospital In Leeds, completing many specialist rotations including lower limb rehabilitation, chronic pain, spinal and upper limb, women’s health, trauma and elective orthopaedics and pre and post surgical rehabilitation. She worked closely with many specialist orthopaedic surgeons during this time developing numerous post knee surgery protocols. She was also involved heavily in research and had her dissertation published alongside her university colleagues in 2011.

Sam emigrated to Australia in the summer of 2013 where she started working with us at Cremorne Physio as a senior Physiotherapist. While working at Cremorne Physio, Sam has attended a Specific Functional Movement Analysis course using specialised assessments to identify movement dysfunction. She also completed her Rocktape (Sports/Kinesio Taping) course and uses this to facilitate rehabilitation day to day as well as to optimise performance and recovery for events. Alongside this, Sam has completed her Musculoskeletal Segmental and Dry Needling course and the Managing Dysfunction in the Pregnant or Post Partum Pelvis Course which she uses to complement her clinical pilates teaching.

Sam has a huge passion for sport and exercise and has done since a young age. Her background in competitive sport and professional courses mean she has the understanding and drive to get all of her patients functioning to the best of their ability. Outside of work Sam likes to explore Sydney and all that it has to offer. Keeping active is her thing and she enjoys all outdoor activities, If she’s not in the water scuba diving, wakeboarding or swimming, she’ll be out walking, running or playing touch footy!
